Historic District Walking Tour
With the passing of time, the flavor of the Ritzville community as a pioneer town has survived, and much of its original character remains intact. The overall architecture of its historic district is essentially turn-of-the-century.
With its National Register designation in 1990, Ritzville's Historic District encompasses four blocks from Railroad Avenue to Broadway Avenue and from Division Street to Adams Street, the city's principal commercial structures. These were built primarily between 1889 and 1920.
Ritzville's Walking Tour is a self-guided tour designed to assist visitors in viewing the town's historic district on foot.
Historic plaques are located on the buildings and correspond to the tour booklet. The booklet can be downloaded from this site or obtained from the Ritzville Area Chamber of Commerce.
